Fire-door requirements vary by building type: social housing follows Regulation 10 quarterly/annual checks, healthcare follows HTM 05-02 progressive horizontal evacuation, schools follow BB 100, and offices, hotels, student accommodation and HMOs follow the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order with the duty on the responsible person.
