An engineered core — flaxboard, particleboard or solid timber — lipped in hardwood and faced. Its FD rating comes from test evidence, not the material alone.

Why the evidence matters
A fire door only protects if it is right — and proven.
In the largest UK inspection programme to date, roughly three in four fire doors checked did not meet the required standard — most often the wrong gaps, missing or damaged seals, and poor installation. Third-party certification and a complete evidence trail are what separate a door that performs from one that only looks the part.

Do you supply and install fire doors?
From 2026 we supply and install third-party-certified timber fire doorsets, FD30 to FD120, across the UK — supply-only or supply-and-fit, with full handover evidence.
What is a fire doorset?
A fire doorset is a complete, factory-assembled unit — leaf, frame, seals and ironmongery — tested together to resist fire for a rated period (for example, FD30 is 30 minutes' integrity). A loose fire door leaf is not the same as a tested doorset.
Are your fire doorsets certified?
Every doorset we supply will carry third-party certification (schemes such as BM TRADA Q-Mark or Certifire), and we publish each certificate and scheme-register number here the day it is granted — never before.
